Our primary care providers are trained to assess your full health, and our behavioral health specialist is available if you would like to discuss any emotional and/or behavioral needs in more detail.


Our Story.

Orchid Health was founded with the mission of solving the problems and inefficiencies of modern American healthcare, and to make sure that no patient or community lacked access due to the current system. Our founders, Orion Falvey and Oliver Alexander spent years working with a number of Oregon’s top healthcare policy leaders, primary care providers, and most importantly community members themselves in order to improve the health and well-being of all patients and to create a model of health care based on quality, compassion, and innovation.

Our Model.

Exceptional Patient Experience

Our goal is for our patients to feel listened to, have enough time to ask necessary questions, and be able to discuss what’s most important to them with their provider. In order to accomplish this we offer hour long initial visits and 30 minute follow up visits. Additionally we understand the need for accessible primary and urgent care when a health concern arises, which is why we offer same-day visits (by appointment) and expedited new patient visits. In order to continuously improve the experience our patients receive, we constantly ask for feedback and involve patients in our decision making process.

Anyone can be an Orchid patient, insured or uninsured, working or unemployed. No matter what your life circumstances are, we believe you deserve quality healthcare.

We accept most private/commercial insurances, local OHP (Medicaid) and most Medicare. We also offer a sliding scale program, which is open to all patients who qualify. Orchid Care Plan

If you have private health insurance that we are not contracted with, and you don't want to pay cash each time you come to the clinic, you can sign up for our Membership for a flat monthly fee. Learn more here.

The Orchid Care Plan and Orchid Health is not insurance. Orchid Health provides the limited scope of services as outlined in the member agreement. Patients must pay for services outside of the agreement. The department of consumer and business services issued a certification to this practice. Joel Myers

Joel is originally from Albuquerque, New Mexico and has lived in Bend, Oregon for 11 years while working in the Emergency Department for St. Charles Medical Centers in Redmond, Madras, and Prineville. Joel received his Masters in Medicine from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia in 1997. He brings 4 years of Primary Care and 13 years of Emergency Medicine Experience to Orchid. He is excited to return to primary care and offer treatment of chronic conditions while being able to address a vast array of same-day visit care issues in order to prevent unnecessary trips to the ER. He offers evidence based medical treatment as well as alternative treatment options.

When Joel isn't working he enjoys spending time with his wife, two teenage daughters and four dogs. He can also be found nordic skiing, mountain biking, fly fishing and hiking all around Oregon.


Charlie Ross

Osteopathic Physician

Dr. Charlie Ross has been a physician in Oregon for 40 years. His first practice was in Oakridge, OR and was located in what is now the Orchid Health clinic building. He practiced family medicine for 8 years and then emergency medicine for almost 30 years and became board certified in both specialties.

For the last three years he has been practicing Lifestyle Medicine by one on one meetings and teaching classes in helping people make healthier life choices. He is a part-time assistant professor at Western University of Health Sciences at Lebanon, OR. He loves mentoring medical students and changing how medicine is often practiced...from taking pills to making healthier lifestyle choices.

Dr. Ross and his wife Christine recently moved back home to Westfir and are looking forward to improving the health of the Oakridge/Westfir community.


Lynn Murphy

Dr. Lynn Murphy was raised in Portland, Oregon, and now she is returning home to be near family and friends. During her years away, she worked for many years as a volunteer with inner city children in Philadelphia. She then achieved her Medical Degree through Temple University before returning to the West Coast. After a California Residency at UCSF, she practiced as the only doctor in a small town near the San Francisco Area, successfully operating her own private office for the last 14 years.

For personal and family health reasons, Dr Murphy’s family took up residence in Hawaii in 2015. She now shares time between the two states: Oregon and Hawaii. As a physician, Dr. Murphy relishes practicing “Whole Person Medicine”, thrives in an environment where she can spend quality time with her patients, and is also an excellent diagnostician who is willing to embrace high quality medical standards while still inviting natural health care into the picture. She loves a small town environment and is excited to have joined the team at Orchid Health in Estacada.

When not working you might often find her kayaking on the ocean or possibly Stand Up Paddle-boarding. She also spends a lot of time as a homeschooling parent, a chef for her allergy-ridden son, writing or playing music, and running a successful homespun jewelry business.


Jamie Lloyd

Behavioral Health Consultant, Licensed Professional Counselor

Jamie grew up in Oakridge and after 24 years away, recently returned to be near family. A graduate of Northwest Christian University, Jamie holds a Master’s Degree in Community Counseling and has worked in various settings including non-profits, integrated medical clinics, corrections, and private practice. She is passionate about collaborative care and enjoys working in a team environment that addresses the needs of the whole individual. Jamie’s experience includes childhood, adolescent, adult, and geriatric care; she has worked with individuals, couples, families, and groups.

Jamie’s family systems approach to treatment focuses on patient-centered care within the context of each individual’s unique perspective of their environment. At Orchid Health, Jamie’s primary focus is providing support to individuals with the goal of better treatment outcomes that enhance quality of life.


Joe Volpi

Dr. Volpi grew up in Prineville, Oregon. Before medical school he spent 6 years as a nuclear engineer in the US Navy. He then returned to Oregon to begin his medical training. During his residency he also completed a Fellowship in Wilderness medicine (FAWM) through the Wilderness Medicine Society. Dr. Volpi was trained to practice full spectrum medicine, from beginning to end, and enjoys caring for all members of the family. He strives to work with patients to allow them to live the happiest, fullest lives possible.

Dr. Volpi loves spending his free time in the outdoors in any capacity; whether it is climbing to the top of a mountain, laying in a hammock in the woods, or running ultramarathons. Dr. Volpi can usually be found with his adventure buddy, his son Wes, in tow.

Jenny Dail

Clinic Manager


Jenny joined Orchid in the summer of 2015 as a highly organized office administrator with 9 years medical office management experience. She started her management career in the San Francisco Bay area where she spent over 10 years managing and supporting Materials Management and Manufacturing of various clinical trial companies with different product lines. She settled down in Oakridge, OR eager to raise her children and to pursue a different depth in her career.

Jenny brings a wealth of real-world, practical medical office management knowledge to Orchid Health. Aside from ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations, Jenny’s goal is to deliver high quality, efficient and effective service to all of Orchid Health’s patients and to assist both patients and providers in all aspects of care.

When Jenny is not coordinating the day to day requirements of the office she is enjoying the beautiful outdoors of Oakridge with her children. She loves to go fishing, explore mountain trails, tube the river with family and friends or venture out to the gorgeous Oregon Coast.


Orion Falvey

Co-Founder, Co-Director


A graduate of the University of Oregon Business School, Orion has served as a consultant for several local businesses, was named the 2013 Oregon Student Impact Entrepreneur of the Year by Portland State University, and was awarded as a Freeman Fellow while working on a healthcare project in Cambodia. His passion for improving the healthcare system stems from his experiences growing up in a rural Alaska, and the opportunity for large-scale positive impact.


Oliver Alexander

Co-Founder, Co-director


Oliver is a graduate of the Lundquist College of Business and majored in Business Administration with a double focus in Entrepreneurship and Finance. During his undergraduate career, he founded Marcoulier Encasements, LLC where he and his team designed and tested various products.

His areas of expertise include leadership, fundraising, risk analysis, financial management, and creative problem solving. Oliver is passionate about solving complex and large scale problems, specifically healthcare, and has spent time researching and assisting in the reduction of medical waste in the United States.


Bill Roller

Billing & Administrative Director


Before joining Orchid he has worked in many various roles within Community Health Clinics and also more recently an insurance organization. Hobbies include, bowling, hiking and generally being outdoors. He has a love for dogs.


Casey Brewster

Creative Director


Casey joined the Orchid team in the summer of 2018. She grew up in Cincinnati, OH, and spent summers with her family in Guadalajara, Mexico. After two decades working in community engagement in the Midwest and Pacific Northwest, she now specializes in marketing and creative communications. She holds a bachelor's degree in English and Gender Studies from the University of Notre Dame and a master's degree in functional medicine from the Seattle Institute of East Asian Medicine. Casey is passionate about community health and vitality, especially as it pertains to women and children. In her free time, Casey enjoys writing, cooking and gardening with her husband.
